Can we donate $20 in your name to help raise funds for an agricultural educational building for local high school students?
Two years ago, to address a growing need for education, community and academic members of Arcanum led an initiative to reinstate the FFA Chapter and Vocational Agriculture program at Arcanum-Butler High School. Since then, 91 high school students have enrolled in the newly reintroduced FFA agricultural program, but more than 150 students have enrolled in these new agricultural classes. In order to meet the sudden increasing demand, a new facility is required to accommodate more students and continue providing quality education.
Recently, Arcanum-Butler announced plans for a new 18,000 square-foot building that will house space for community activities, athletic training, and these agricultural education classes. The estimated cost is over $3 million, however, over half of the project cost has already been funded! Nonetheless, right now there is a funding gap and a local capital campaign has been recommended to help cover the additional costs to help complete the project. The goal is to fundraise $1 million and currently they are only $150,000 away from this goal.
“As an an agricultural community, it is imperative that we provide our students with quality agricultural education. The Graves-Fearon Agency pledges our dedication to bringing this project to a successful completion,” says Michael Fearon, agency owner.
Currently, the needs and materials have evolved during the design phase, leaving a funding gap. Local investment is required to bring the project to completion. This is where you can help. With a $20 donation in your name we can work together to finish this new agricultural facility.
